Re: No 5g Ireland
I got mine working there on Pixel 9 pro. Issue was my mobile number wasn't appearing with the sim when it was provisioned. Check to see if you go to settings > networks > sim. See if below sky it shows your mobile number. If it doesn't open your phone dialler and type in *#*#4636#*#* select phone and then scroll down to the very bottom and there is a text box. Hit the refresh button first then remove the number there & insert your number and click update. Then reboot! I seen similar posts on other forums and this which helped me fix it. Hope it works or helps others! May not but worth a shot! 4G calling & wifi calling now appearing for me too.

Re: No 5g Ireland
Hi I have a Pixel 7pro and have not been able to access 5g since I switched over back in December. At the time sky tech support said this issue should be sorted in a few months. Is there any update on this? When will 5g be available on Google devices in Ireland?
Thanks
Keith

Re: No 5g Ireland
What is the latest Android version that fixes this issue and allows for 5G? Mine is on version 15 and I still can't get 5G.
Thanks

Re: No 5g Ireland
Good to know, thanks. Do any settings need to be changed in order to activate 5G?

Re: No 5g Ireland
I would suspect that a lot of older Google made phones wouldn't be included in a software release - this is normally due to the work that the phone makers have to do to capture for each model of device as they have different chip sts etc so always a prioritisation call/cut off point.
Reading this thread it would look like that cut-off is Pixel 7's and up have the software release, and anything below does not. If you were to get a newer Pixel device going forward I would assume that all would have the software to give 5G, wifi calling etc.

Re: No 5g Ireland
The Pixel 6pro worked on the Three network. It's also worked on Vodafone who supply Sky mobile in Ireland.

Re: No 5g Ireland
I am not sure it matters that Sky use the Vodafone network - I assume for example that AN Post who using the Voda network would have had the same issue.
Vodafone & Three would have had Google software on phones yonks ago while Sky has only just launched. Google and other phone makers won't go back to devices beyond a certain launch date, and might be a 3 year cut off or something similar post release.
So prob any Google device from 7 and up forever more will get the software needed, for older models people might be stuck using 3rd party apps. Prob not the helpful answer as I can only speculate but does seem likely.
If a dealbreaker I'd suggest DM'ing on twitter and that way you will get a proper written response
