New phone

Hello,

I have a new phone with sky mobile. previous to this i have a sim only plan with sky. how do i transfer my piggy bank data to my new phone (sim), i can see a way to transfer to the sim, but will all the unused data then roll over or once the data is transfered will it be lost if not used?

Hi @Emma12341  the data stays with the account so as long as your new sim was ordered on the same account as the old one then you keep the data.

Just put the new sim in your phone and then everything continues as before as you transfer the data to the sim itself and not the phone so access to your piggybnak remains the same as before.

Re: New phone

Even though it's on a different sim?

Did you order a new sim when ordering the new phone, if so you have a few decisions to make:

You either use your old sim or new one, if you do not want to do this then as you can not transfer the phone number from the old Sky sim to the new Sky one so you can transfer the number via a Pac code to a PAYG network then get another Pac code to transfer it back again to your new sim.

Re: New phone

I've used the PAC to transfer the number to the new sim and cancel my PAYG sim, but was worried that by cancelling the PAYG sim (the one with all the data) I'd loose it, and was wondering if I need to manually transfer the data or will it be automatically rolled onto my new sim?

Are both the old Sky sim and new one of the same account then you will not lose access to the piggybank or the data in it.

The PAYG sim on the different network doesn't come into as it is not a Sky one.
