New phone contract

I have a sim contract with sky but if I get an upgrade to new phone this comes with  data ect so wouldn't need sim contract,what happens?

@Mazzas 

If you don't need the data then when the sim arrives do not activate it then it will be cancelled so you can continue to sue the sim you have already got in the new mobile.

Ok thanks just wondered if my old contract with the sim would still apply so was paying for both!

The contract on that sim stays on that sim so would not be moved to a different one as that sim would then have it's own contract.
