New phone and sim

I have transferred my number but my new phone/sim is telling me my old iPhone sim is not compatible for esim but I contacted my old provider and they are saying it has successfully been done

esims are not supported on Sky Mobile I'm afraid.

It isn't an esim though, it's the sim sent from sky, physically

So to be clear the Sky sim and phone are both from Sky but when you put the sim in it you get the esim error message ?

Yes that's correct.

 

I have done the PAC process from my old phone and sim (three) I have contacted three and they said it has transferred correctly. 

when I go to setting on my sky phone and sim mobile data comes up with the esim message.

Have you spoken to Apple about the message to see if they know how it can be disabled ?

Apologies, sorted, simple SIM card removal and back in. 

the mobile version of 'turn it off and back on'
