Moving to sky and piggy backing data

Hello

my son had a contract with sky, which I pay for and he rarely uses all his data, there is a lot in his piggy bank, so my plan now my contract has ended is to move to sky, get an iPhone 16 without a data plan, for £26, and to use his data

my question is how will I still have calls, texts, and to keep my number, would I need to buy a sim with a low data plan? Ideally I wanted to just pay £26 and that be it

Hi @CB82X  your son will need to order a sim on his account, it can be the lowest cost one, and give it to you to use. You can then top up from his piggybank. It must be on his account to share his piggybank. You can order and pay for a phone on an account you set up. You will need a sim with a plan though to be able to make calls etc. Also bear in mind unused data now expires after 12 months so be sure to keep topping up or he will lose it.

As above, you need an additional dataplan on his account to use the data.  The 100MB SIM is sometimes available - and potentially starting at £0pm for 12 months...
