Mobile sim

I've just moved from Vodafone and received my phone today. I've received a message from Vodafone to say I've requested an puk code to keep my same number ( I haven't done this yet)

however, when I put my new sky SIM card in my sky phone it comes up with Vodafone network. Is this what's meant to happen

Hi @Douggie75  a PUK is used to unlock a phone that's had the wrong pin tried to many times. A PAC is used to transfer a number between networks. If you have activated your sky sim and put it in your phone then it shouldn't be connecting to Vodafone. Are you sure it is ? Is the new phone from sky ?

Sorry @Douggie75  but not sure what to say to help as I have never seen or heard of someone putting a sky sim in a sky supplied phone and Vodafone network showing 🤷‍♂️ it's definitely the sky sim she has in it ?
