Tried that numerous times. Took sim out too. Stupid iPhone update was stuck on verifying. (It couldn't do update s as no service which she explained to me) She calmly took my mobile and showed me how to switch it off as screen froze, volume up release, volume down release & then hold right side button until iPhone eventually powers down. I was about to throw it across the room. I'll try switching it off again now. Thanks.

Shocking service over the last month. WiFi drops constantly and now we can't make or receive calls for the second time in a week, and cannot speak to anyone about it! I have five family members on my mobile account and will not be paying my bill this month. Disgusting!

This topic keeps getting locked as resolved or mixed with other chats. 4 days now, every day my phone at some point won't send or recieve calls. I am disabled and need my mobile to work. Its now getting ridiculous. It happened this morning again and I mised a very important medical call. I restarted my phone and everything was working again. Contacted Sky using 150, finally got through after an hours wait Got the usual excuses, network problem, faulty phone, we're working on it, should be fixed by next tuesday, even tried to sell me a new phone. Phone seemed to work all day after that restart. Just got home half an hour ago and tried to make a call and nothing, I even got the other automated message saying "sorry you cannot call this number, please check your network settings online" Rather than reboot my phone this time I tried the flight mode fix and it seemed to work. This isn't good enough Sky, I need to recieve my calls and I'm missing them due to this problem.. This happens randomly, sort it out and please don't lock this thread as resolved untill it actually is

Try switching your phone off and on.
It worked for me.

Hi not sure if this will work with all phones but I have just done a forced restart on my iPhone 12 and I'm now back up and running with calls and text- wasn't sure if it was a fluke or if the issues with sky have been resolved, but might be worth a try doing this as you won't lose any data, apps contacts or anything. Good luck

Yeah turning off and on fixes it but what happens when it does it again and people can't call me. I won't know there is a problem till I go to make a call myself and that could be hours after the problem has re-occurd

Mobile service down here too in Sunderland for a few hours prior to just being able to log on to post this reply. In explanation in my account Sky flagged up a problem with a mobile phone mast. Worse things happen at sea I guess. 🙂

The sky network is now back up and running

@Physiohow do I force reset on iPhone? I've not had any service for few days intermittently and it's been off most of today. I'm looking to leave Sky as getting fed up

Preston hold the power button and the home button together and keep hold of them and you'll see the apple apple single come up

guys ,, i'm miffed too but i've been with Sky for over 10 years and compared to other networks i've had very few problems. The ones I have experienced has normally been down to a third party organisation such as Openreach or a rogue staff member tgatvall orgs have. When i've raised concerns i've always had a fair outcome. That said, I have needed to escalate to get them to fully deal with the problem. Partly down to the overseas contact centres and barriers that brings. You'll notice how their sales teams aren't.
They'd do rhemselves a huge service if they had centres in the country they service. especially in this volitle world climate.
