Mobile contract offer a joke

Just got a new phone, contract needed renewing, I have now been informed my data contract is due for renewal  offered 4gb for £12.00, Im a sky VIP customer, not that means anything to them but, i can get a sim only deal from sky for 10gb data for £6.00 but they wont offer me that offered me 1gb data for £5.00 I think what a joke this company is, Im just going to get a sim only cotract with another provider, has anyone else doe this ? I am under the impression all sky sold mobiles are unlocked so I can get a nother providers sim.

@rogon  Yes all mobiles sold by sky are unlocked so you can use any provider

As per the latest Sky Mobile tariff of 13 April the undiscounted price for 10GB of data if £14 per month.

What's really frustrating is and I did explain to the advisor that I was a VIP  diamond customer, I now see in my perks that I can get unlimited data for £10 why didn't they offer me that instead of just fobbing me off with we can't offer you anything better 🤬 very poor customer support.

Can you answer my question re vip perks , as listed below, I see I have this offer of unlimited data. At present I have a lot of rolled over data and my partner also has a phone on sky, so I roll over data to them. If I change my contract will I loose my rollover data ?

Hi @rogon  any data in your piggybank remains unless you close the account. Changing plan doesn't get rid of the saved data. Saved data only lasts 12 months now before it's deleted, previously 3 years.

That offer is for additional dataplan (with a new phone number) - you cannot apply that offer to your number.

 

is great if you want to add a new plan for someone else to use.  Unlimited plans do not contribute to the piggybank.  (For obvious reasons)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
