Mobile cannot call landlines
‎26 Nov 2024 04:53 PM
I moved to sky mobile and it was the biggest mistake of my life. Extortionate monthly rates, and ever since joining the mobile cannot call landlines. When trying to call them it simply comes up with a message "call ended" immediately, without ringing.
i have tried calling the same numbers from family phones and they work fine.
especially I repeatedly need to call "0333" numbers provided on websites for most stores and services, the mobile cannot call these.
the useless disgusting chat bot states it does not understand and suggests contacting this forum for customer support! Disgusting!!! Virgin expect customers to solve their own issues!!!
the text service permanently states "not available"
the one phone number I found went through to a foreign (Indian?) call centre, where I stayed in a queue for half an hour and then was subjected to an infuriating 90 minute call with a barely-English speaking Indian man, who said "I don't know why phone not make outgoing calls, maybe websites you try have wrong numbers" what?!!! He then suggested factory resetting my phone to scratch. I advised him I could lose everything that way, including precious last texts from my father. He kept insisting a data reset or factory reset is all he could think of "and that I should be fine"
I am not factory resetting my phone and potentially losing my fathers last texts - if cloud backup does not work. This also means setting up all my wallet and apps etc from scratch!!!
does anyone know why this is happening?!!
