Mobile Plan upgrade
Just upgraded mobile phone deal. We have a family plan.
When we upgraded we were told we need to have an additional sim, not entirely sure why, to get the deal.
We have a sim that we dont need but need to active.
I have put it as a second sim in my phone.
How do I active it without changing anything else

No, you didn't...
We have a sim that we dont need but need to active.
Unless you want an additional SIM (and phone number) do not activate it. It will fall off your account automatically without being charged.

Do nothing, other than move the 'old' SIM to the new phone.

Re: Mobile Plan upgrade
Our family plan used to have 5 cards. The new deal has a larger data package but to get that they we needed an additional sim to do it

Re: Mobile Plan upgrade
I do not have an old phone so I need to put in the phone I use.
I am not sure how that works

Yes, but that SIM will have a new phone number.
If that's what you want then go ahead and activate it... (It will be in addition to all your current SIMs)

Re: Mobile Plan upgrade
So if i put in my phone with my regular sim request a number I can have 2 different numbers?
I really don't understand why we needed another sim.
I dont think things were explained properly or clear enough to my partner

Re: Mobile Plan upgrade
Hi @scoop145 sounds like you have wanted more data or one of the new plans with more data, to do that Sky have said you need an extra sim to get that (you probably didn't unless it was one of the unlimited plans) and should have charged the mix on your current plan to increase your data. The Sky CS has gotten you to take the new sim. If you activate that new sim then it will be in addition to your current sims, it will have a new number and you probably don't need it so don't activate it.

Re: Mobile Plan upgrade
Yes it was for an increase in data but the way it has been set up seems a little odd.
Thank you so much for the help & advice
