Mobile Phone Fraud

I received a Iphone 16 in the post which i did not order, I have written to customer complaints as I just cannot find any numbers to call, e mail or write to. I have also received a pre paid package from a company called Ingram Micro services with no covering letter. I can only assume that this company expect me to send the phone to them. About 2 weeks before the phone was delivered someone tried to start an on line bank account in my name, they also had my date of birth. The bank in question were very proffessional and dealt with it very quickly. I now need to know how Sky will deal with this issue.

Hi @Lorraine89  yes this is a current fraud scam. You need to contact sky directly and only return it to them. The scammers try to get you to return it to them (sky do use a service from Ingram so that's maybe why they have used that name). If you have a sky phone call them on 150.

@Lorraine89

Particularly note the specific advice in the page linked above:

If you receive an unexpected parcel from Sky

Get in touch with our customer services team immediately. We can give advice on what to do. Don’t send the parcel anywhere except our returns address.

We’ll give you pre-paid returns packaging to send the parcel back to us.

Fraudsters might contact you and try to convince you to send the parcel to a false address where they can get the devices they’ve ordered from your account. Ignore any requests to send the parcel to an address that isn’t our returns address.

Here’s the details:
