I have recently purchased a 15inch MacBook and I’m happy with the model and the way it works, I would just like to size down as it’s becoming impractical with uni and moving it around as it’s the bigger model. My contract offers upgrades after 36 months but I’m wondering as I’m just downsizing not upgrading if I’m able to do this now by swapping them over.

@Sadie28 Unless you're still in the 31 day cool off period you won't be able to change the current device.
There is no downgrade path other than the swap option after 36 months.
If within the cool off period you would need to cancel/return the current device and go through placing a new order which involves another credit check.
