Keeping Sim only number

Hi I have a sim only deal at the moment, my phone battery is dying and I decided to get an iPhone from one of the deals sky offer.

can I keep my old number on the current sim on the new phone, or does the the phone come with a new sim and number?

I have tried to ask the call centre in India, but I can't understand them😞

grateful for any help.... phil.

To keep your current number just move the sim into your new phone when you have it. Should another sim come with your iphone then don't activate it otherwise you might be charged for it meaning you would be paying for two of them.

@Phileas  You can use the old sim in the new phone, if a new sim is sent don't activate it as this will come with a new number.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Keeping Sim only number

Thank you , but will I be charged for the sim only contract as well as the new  phone?

because , presumably if I used the new phone with its own sim activated , I would only pay the advertised price, £17 monthly in this case for an iPhone 13.

   Thanks again

If you have a sim in the phone from Sky then you will be charged for it as well. The £17 price you see will be for the phone only.
