It may be helpful to explain exactly what you mean by 'incorrect number'.

Have you changed provider/number recently?

I used my Pac code to transfer my number to sky and 3 days later, when I text, the receiver sees the sky number that should have been replaced with my transferred number from O2

What phone are you using ?

It's quite common on services that don't actually use the phone number but are linked to it - happens on FaceTime/iMessage too.

I think the best solution would be via Google:

If your RCS (Rich Communication Services) chat is stuck on an incorrect, old, or temporary assigned number (often happening after a SIM change or number port), you can fix it by unregistering your phone number from Google's chat server and re-verifying your correct mobile number.

It's not a Sky Mobile issue as such...

A57, I've always used Samsung messaging until now, Samsung has forced it over to Google messaging

I have tried that and it keeps pulling the wrong number back in. And sky were about as helpful as a chocolate teapot on the phone yesterday. Beginning to wish I'd just stayed with o2 for the extra 10 quid a month
