I have kept my old number and the transfer day was yesterday, it said it would all be complete by 5pm latest. I got an email to say all complete but they still arent working! When i click on them they keep saying waiting for activation

Go to settings, phone, my number and check the correct number is stored there, if not change it then exit and reboot your phone, it may take quite a few attempts to save. If that's ok try this.
Go to settings, message, send receive
Tap on Apple ID and sign out.
Turn iMessage off.
Turn your phone off for at least 10 seconds
Go to settings, message, iMessage turn back on
Tap on send receive and sign in to Apple ID
Make sure correct number showin in "start new conversations from"

I have tried loads of times to change number in the phone, i type new number in press save and reverts back to the old number that no longer works. I assume this is why imessage and facetime wont connect but i cant figure out how to change it. Its driving me mad haha. I have done the rest knocking imessage facetime etc off switching phone off and back on.
