I lost my phone and i want to claim my device but insurance company says I need to get proof of usage but sky didn't provide it

This was posted by a Sky employee previously :
"The proof of usage is your email with the IMEl number on it which you got when you first took the device. That is what insurance companies need. So you need to ask for that, not proof of usage as in the bills."
