Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

Gonna try to be nice here but...are some of you alright?

They allow pre-orders and have a set amount allocated for them. Once said amount has been reached, any order past that will be allocated a phone from their next shipment. So if your pre-order is showing some time in October, that's why.

Some of you talk like Sky can just whip these phones up out of thin air.

As we’re customers we have no insight into stock levels or any delivery timescales. The most up to date information are complete) on your particular order should become available at:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/track-sky-order

When your order is ready you should get an email from Sky, and then another from the courier (in the UK that’s usually DPD) which will have details of your 1 hour delivery time slot.

@FlyestMonkey40 I guess the concern for some of us is that some placed orders after ours and have received either updates or the actual phone (which goes against the first come first serve Pre sale theory) and others like us are just stuck in this limbo of getting little to no updates . I get that it's not end of the world kind of stuff .. but just making sure that we understand if we actually placed order correctly through others updates

I have woke up this morning with a simmer of hope to see an email or a text from DPD but nothing 😞 . 
I thought to myself I'll cancel it and get it with another provider.

Everybody is on 28days even Apple are quoting 14th October - 23rd October. 
so for sky to be offering me the 4th of October as a delivery date beats Apple themselves ....

something tells me 4th of October deliver isn't going to happen! And it will be much longer than what sky are telling us.

Are you alright if you bought something after being told by the sales person that you will have your order on a pacific date to not receive it when promised and not receive any more updates from them on a specific date for delivery

Folk never seem to learn that Sky don't make the phones they supply them and they can only supply what Apple allocate to them. It happens every year and it'll keep happening 🤷🏼‍♂️
