I can’t use my phone while in Australia

I didn't set up my voicemail before travelling to Australia, I have turned roaming on and set spending limit but cannot use away from allowed Wi-Fi area

Phone not connecting in Australia

Arrived this morning and still not get the welcome text I normally get I have urgent calls to make and can't do them also obviously can't call them as phone not working just gettin SOS message next to my battery life HELP PLEASE

International sms

I'm in Australia (from the UK) but my SMS texts are not getting through to me. How can I find out what the issue might be or locate if this can be fixed?

Hi @Paulmjamison  try the troubleshooting here, especially check spend caps, try a different local network and the sim applications option.

I've tried all of this without success. I do find the Sky help more as a hinderance rather than beliveing in better....! 

 

I did get the usual travelling Text (warning about potential roaming charges etc) from Sky when I stopped off in Dubai but nothing when I arrived in Perth WA.

 

 I was in Tunisia in mid November without any major roaming issues but did get a few minor chanrges from Sky but nothing of concern.

 

So. I'm still at a loss as to what is going on now in Australia when no SMS messages are getting through

Mobile stopped working in Australia and only on SOS

Recently travelled to Australia and my phone has gone from local network to now only showing SOS calls only. I have tried various online help but to no avail. I'm using a ESIM from Sky

Hi @Malcolm67  this is the troubleshooting from sky, especially take notice of the sim applications suggestions and try a different local network. You are not the first person having issues in Australia recently.

iPhone 17 pro not working in Sydney

Phone not working but did when we originally landed in Sydney. Can't make calls and can't use data when out and about. We can use WiFi when in hotel.

No connection

Alternatively, if you've been there for a while now could you have exceeded the relatively new fair usage policy?

 

Roaming using Roaming Passport Plus is now limited to 25GB per billing period.

 

From Skys own website...

When you roam using our Roaming Passport Plus, we consider that up to 25GB per billing period is a reasonable amount of data to use. If you exceed this amount, we'll assume that you're no longer using data in the way expected of a reasonable customer for periodic travel.

 

We may suspend your service, restrict your usage, or charge you for the data that you use in excess of these amounts (currently £2.50 per GB), and we'll let you know by SMS or email before we do so.

Australia and no roaming??

I have set mobile data on and Data roaming on but I am unable to connect to a network in Australia. I used in Italy in June so why is it not working??
