How to migrate mobile number from one Sky sim to another Sky sim

I am already with Sky mobile and have bought a new iPhone with a new sim. How do I migrate my old phone's mobile number to my new phone and sim?

You can't transfer between SIMs.  (To keep your number simply move the SIM from old to new phone and do not activate any new plan)

 

(there is a protracted workaround but you have to transfer the number out of the network and then back in again)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
