I've seen mention that the new iPhone 14 is "eSIM only", which implies there's no slot for a physical SIM card.
So how does this work with my Sky Mobile plan? Do I need to move to EE (the only provider in the UK that seems to support eSIM right now) in order to use my iPhone 14 or is there something I'm missing?
Or can someone confirm that the UK variant of the iPhone 14 has a SIM slot.

That is correct, according to Apple themselves.
Does presumably open the door to potential foul-ups with global stock magement though, and a complication for trans-Atlantic travellers (and 'grey' importers ; )

Apparently it's just the US model which is eSIM-only: the rest of the world still gets a SIM tray this time around.
