What device have you got as it is possible to activate then covert the physical sim to an esim as per this:

Did you mean to post that you have an iphone 11 or a more recent one like a 15 or 16 ?

No I have a iPhone 11 a contract with 02 but runs out in Hannah so got a sky contract to take over it and change my number in jan

In that case you should be able to convert the esim or don't activate the physical sim so it is cancelled and then order an esim via your online account.
