@Chrisgold Ok, but in what way isn't it working, just saying it doesn't work on the way home isn't giving us anything to go on.

We need to know whats happening when you try to use it, is it not connecting to data?, is it just not updating the journey? or is it something else?

@Chrisgold Ok a couple of things to try,

If you have an android phone

  1. Open your Settings app .
  2. Tap Apps or Application manager (depending on your device, this may be different).
  3. Select Maps.
  4. Tap Storage.
  5. Tap Clear cache.
  6. Tap Clear data(only try this if clearing the cache doesn't work).

If you have an iPhone

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Maps app .
  2. Tap your profile picture or initial Settings .
  3. Tap About, terms & privacy.
  4. Tap Clear application data.
  5. Tap OK.
If you have an Android phone
  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced > Private DNS.
  2. Select Private DNS provider hostname.
  3. Enter dns. google as the hostname of the DNS provider(Google DNS is 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4,)
  4. Click Save.

Im not sure if you can change the DNS settings for mobile connections on iPhones so if you have one you may need to Google it or ask on the Apple forums.
