Fraudulent Sky account

How do I make a complaint to Sky about a fraudulent account taken out in my name. I am going around in circles, I am unable to speak to the fraud department, I am being bombarded with letters from a debt collecter

No I haven't received a device, but I have been sent a bill for missed credit payment

No I don't have a Sky account, I don't have a Sky mobile, broadband...nothing. I've reported to action fraud but I can't actually speak to anyone at Sky. I get through to customer services, told the fraud department will ring back and then nothing.

It will need investigaing by them and I should imageine that this might take a while, so pretty much all you can do is to give them time then see if you can get through to them again.

It has been going on since November 2024, how much time do they need. I want to make an official complaint about the whole process. It's disgusting that a company of its size has no helpline that you can contact specifically for situations where people are the victims of identity fraud. They send you around in circles, probably hoping you get feed up and pay a debt that isn't yours.

I am in exactly the same situation. Have been trying to report account to Sky but it is impossible! Did you manage to sort the problem and if so, how?

@Daniel0210 Thanks for the help but I have already seen that article. There is no dedicated number, just the customer services number is listed and I have already contacted Sky on multiple occasions via that route.

I have been trying to sort since March 25 and spent hours and spoken to 5 or 6 different people who all want the story from the beginning despite saying they have a note on my account. Now debt collection company is giving 30 days to prove I don't owe any money. This is not fair... awful service from Sky

ive just done that. Let's see.

its a sad day when through no fault of your own someone crooked steals skys money but you have to end up sorting it out!
