Hi @-Ianb- try this, press and hold volume down and power buttons at the same time. Hold for 7-15 seconds til the Samsung logo appears, release then the phone should vibrate and start up.

I have done that it worked the first time but now it won't unfreeze doing anything

Your options now @-Ianb- are contact Samsung as sometimes they are more likely to provide a replacement or go with sky and follow their repairs/replacements process.
