Esim replacement request-can not receive CODE as number is not active

HELP please
I received an email from Sky requesting I update and replace my current esim. I followed ALL instructions BUT now can NOT receive a CODE to complete the replacement as my esim is not activated. I had no choice to receive the code through any other method. Please advise
