Do I need a sim with non mobile products

I already have an iPhone with a sim but I have just ordered an iPad.

 

I did not add a plan as I will only use it with WiFi. Will I be able to use the iPad without an eSIM or will it be locked? I don't want to pay for another plan that I won't use.

Yes, I believe all Sky iPad's are cellular capable but you can just use WiFi fine.

 

(It just means you've probably paid more for the device than you needed to as you didn't need a cellular version)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
