I have a recurring problem which happens every couple of months, and is happening now - where my phone won't make or receive calls or texts (it doesn't even seem to register that I'm trying to call, and I get a "please insert sim card" message on texts) and my 4G stops working. I try turning my phone off and on and trying airplane mode, neither of which work. It's incredibly frustrating as it feels like I'm paying for half a service.
