Credit Refund

Hi, 

 

I recently tried to get an iphone with the pay monthly contracts, the process was accepted and I paid 69 euros upfront. Then it was cancelled and after a few days I receive a refund of the money, however it was as credit. I would like it on my bank account please. I actually need 2 refunds as we made a new process on my wife's account and the exact same situation has repeated. Please help.

Any upfront payment you’ve made should be refunded after about 14 days but recent posts suggest it’s taking a bit longer in which case you’ll need to call Sky Ireland to chase it up.

 

Sky Ireland Customer Services are not open over a weekend.

Hi thanks for the reply, you seem I received an email stating that my refund will take 3-5 days, then it appeared on my bill as credit. Will it stay credit forever or will it automatically be refunded? I prefer it to be refunded to my account directly, I am not sure why they put it as credit when I didnt have a say in it.

If you failed the credit check I'm not sure why it was applied as a credit on an account you'll not use. You need to contact Sky Ireland next week. We are fellow customers on here.

Yeah it accepted me then took the money, then cancelled and put my money as credit and it happened twice

I just saw many other people online saying when it goes as credit on your account, theyll never return the money back. is this true?

If i call them will it be 6 weeks or 3-5 days to have it back, what would you say in your experiences ?

These are the current methods for contacting Sky. (Depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
