Converting existing Sim to eSim on Google Pixel 8 Pro

Looking for anyone that has actually converted an existing physical Sim to an eSim on a Google Pixel 8 Pro.

I spoke to a very helpful lady on the Sky helpline but the process seems less than staraight forward and to behonest I ddin't take in all the steps she advised. One has to order a replacement eSim, which seems odd. One can't just go through the process on ones phone. And have a second phone or printer available for a QR code.

Would welcome anyone's step by step experience on an actual Google Pixel 8 Pro-please.

Thank you for the link. I was aware of it and that was mainly the reason for the post. What your link does not do is take one step by step before plunging into getting an eSim. One has to advance one click at a time with all future steps hidden, so there is no way of seeing where it is all going. It would be great if I could see the steps openly before taking the plunge.

It would be really helpful to read of peoples experiences that had converted their physical sim to an eSim, good and bad.
