@Van17

All mobiles from Sky are unlocked so you can use any sim in the phone. It might come with a Sky sim by default so if it does then you must not activate it.

Re: Can I use Sky mobile with a different Sim?

@caesarome what happens if you activate the Sky sim? And what happens if you don't activate the Sky sim? Does the contract still run on if you don't activate? Does it then lock the phone into Sky if you do activate the Sky sim? I have an O2 sim only tariff that I am looking to put into the Sky mobile phone

@JimbobT If you don't activate within 30 days then it drops off your account, If you do acitvate it then you obviously have to pay for it each month but it does not lock the phone to the Sky network.

Re: Can I use Sky mobile with a different Sim?

Thanks @daveNOS. The sim with the phone I am looking at is 500mb a month for £0. I guess as long as that doesn't interfere  with paying for the handset as part of the contract then I'm happy to go for it

@JimbobT

The £0 cost wil be for 12 months only once activated.
