Can I move my number to a new SIM

Hi,

I am an existing Sky Mobile customer and just took out a new phone and new data contract (iPhone 13 and 4gb of data SIM). My existing contract is a SIM only 8gb of data which is due to expire shortly. I would like to keep my mobile number, but I'm not sure how to do it. I'm understand moving from one provider to another, but not sure how it works changing the SIM over and keeping the number (if it is even possible) on the same provider.

Any help would be much appreciated. I assume I could also call.

The only way is to port out of the network and back in again.  (Via a PAYG for example)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

I presume you didn't apply the 4GB of date to your current sim as it might have been possible to do this, it might be worth calling Sky to see if they can do this for you and if they can they can then cancel this new sim you ordered. 150 is the free number to call Sky on.

Re: Can I move my number to a new SIM

Hi,

Thanks for that. To be honest, i didn't actually come across an option to swap my existing 8gb data to the 4gb data contract.

I'll try giving them a call and see if it is possible for them to swap things over that way. It just seems a bit odd that this wouldn't be possible.
