Can I leave a new sim activation until Xmas day

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Hi all

wondering if one of you can give me some info !

I have 3 sky mobiles already and have just ordered a new iPhone and sim for my daughter for Xmas as a surprise in the Black Friday offers. It's her first phone

I would  really like to leave the phone sealed until Xmas. Does the sim need to be put in the handset and activated within a certain time frame or am I ok to leave all as is until Christmas Day ?

@Jporch316  You have to activate within 31 days of delivery otherwise it automatically cancels out and drops off your account

Edit you can put the sim in any phone to activate but you will start paying from the day you activate

@Jporch316  Just make sure whichever phone you use to setup uses the same size sim card as your daughters as otherwise you will need to replace the sim if it's a different when you open it
