Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

Hi I had no end of problems with calls dropping out, ending or sounding really bad. I tried everything that sky suggested nothing worked! As soon as my airtime came up for renewal I left sky and went to 02 and haven't had any problems with my phone at all. When Sky asked why was leaving I told them why to be told that they were unaware of the problem.

strange thing is 02 and Sky use the same network 🤷🏽‍♀️

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

Hi, having exactly the same issue, 5 mins, 20 mins or 55 mins. Really annoying especially with important calls. First thing I do on any important call where they withhold the number is apologise and explain that that may have to call me back if the network drops. Absolutely disgusted!

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

My wife and I are having major problems with Sky network, we keep having calls dropping out our phones keep say NO SKY NETWORK this is going on all day long. I have also done every thing Sky has told me to do but still no joy. This has been going on now for seven weeks, up till then been with SKY Five yaers without a problem,, but all i get from SKY is can we have the last three numbers you have called so they can check, because we have no network problems. But I have sent them 20 screen shots from my phone showing NO SKY NETWORK EMERGENCES CALLS ONLY. Just about to give up and find some else.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

A good friend is with O2 and when he's round our house his coverage is excellent whereas all ours that are with Sky mobile are rubbish.  How can Sky mobile keep peddling this rubbish and not do anything about it?

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

I've had this issue for ages and had no help from Sky so after a lot of research I found that it seems to be if you have 5G enabled on the phone but the phone isn't located in a 5G area. If I changed the settings on the phone to 'only use 4G' the problem went away. Recently, the phone mast that covers our area has been upgraded to enable 5G coverage. I've switch 5G back on the phone, not had a problem since.

Re: Calls Cutting out. Phone or Network?

My wife has this issue, been consitent across three different mobiles, initially though it carried across on mobile no 2 as it was setup off the data transferred from mobile no 1. Did a full reset and it made no difference.

Brand new iPhone in October, setup as a new device and like a hemeroid it's happening on this iPhone, troubleshooting guide followed which points to a hardware problem with the brand new iPhone!. Converted to eSim and initially appeared to improve, then like like a hemeroid it's back again.

My assumptio is that Sky hasn't got to the bottom (pun intended) of this?
