Buying a handset ROI

Joined Sky mobile Ireland last month, have the sim only. Been trying to buy a phone, either it crashes put or keys to charge me full price upfront. Calling customer service does nothing because they said it needs to be done online and they're not properly launched  whatever that means. Anyone else having this issue?
