Attempted scam to purchase new mobile phone.

Yesterday a caller said my Sim was about expire and that they needed to send a new one. Unfortunately I was taken in as they had so much information about my Sky account. Fortunately however I realised it was a scam and was able to cancel the order they had placed for a new phone. Today I wanted to speak to Sky about the matter but they are not answering calls because they are doing staff training. Is this true or have I somehow been blocked? Can anyone help me?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Apparently training is taking place but it rarely lasts long. Obviously afterwards there will be an increase in customers trying to get through though.

I'm in the same boat, continuously receiving phone calls to update sim or upgrade bill. It's an obvious scam I would just like Sky to tell me if they are calling me for promotions or upgrades!!!
