New Phone, New SIM??

I have just ordered the 17 pro max. I'm paying for a SIM with my current phone, just wondering will I be able to use that SIM with my new phone or will I need to cancel my current data plan and purchase a new plan to use with my new phone?

Hi @niamh37  you can just use your current sim and plan. If another sim arrives then don't activate it or you will have two sims, one with a new number.

I can see why it's popular though, it is a nice orange haha. 

 

Having looked throuugh this thread I've noticed most people do receive them between 4-5 weeks, the ones that are having the issues with orders being "Stuck/lost" are those who pre-ordered theirs or those who ordered around September. People who have ordered around the beginning of October have either received or due to be delivered soon so hopefully I won't be waiting much longer and neither will others. But it does appear that there is some order throughout these. 

 

The fact that their customer service are telling people to cancel and re-order or "choose a different colour" is actually horrible because these people are going through another hard search on their credit report, some refused and others it has either caused issues or pushed them to the back of the waiting line for their phones. Some instances people have recieved 2, despite one being cancelled. 

 

If the CS team try to tell you to cancel and re-order or change colour do not do that. Unless (from what I've seen) you are waiting from a pre-order. In that case contact Sky for some advice. 

 

Do not cancel/re-order because of what I am saying here. This is just based from some of the things I have read throughout this thread.

i logged in this evening to the my sky app and the order that has been showing since the 25 September has disappeared completely...great.  I will call them in the morning but this might be were Sky and I part ways

New iPhone 17

Hi, I placed an order for iPhone 17 a few days ago, it says it will be delivered within 1 week.does this mean it's not in stock? Also I didn't get the option to select a plan when ordering the phone, eg data and calls etc what does this mean?

Hi @Cclark2302  yes it means it's not in stock and sky are waiting for more. If you already have a sky sim/plan then just use that.

Hi @Cclark2302  its usually accurate but others have reported longer delays. Until it's on its way you won't know for sure.

Hello everyone so finally i received my phones. Here is time line. First order 6/10 17pm orange 256 gb and cancelled it on 28/10 and ordered again 17 pm ronage 512 because lf customer service guy said you will get earlier if you cancel it. Then received cancelled one on 6/11 😂 i accepted and today 20/11 i received my second one.
