Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I ordered my iPhone 17 pro max, 1TB in blue on the 16th September. Received a message within an hour stating delivery would be "BY" the 4th October. Received another message on the sky account on the 29th stating it would still be delivered "BY" the 4th October. The 4th came and went with no phone delivery. When I did get to speak to some one from Sky customer services regarding the delivery, they said that 100% it would be delivered on either the 13th or 14th October. This date also came and went with no phone turning up. Have to say, if Sky had of been honest with the customers in the first place, everyone would have cancelled their orders and gone with another provider. Hence why they won't give updates. Appalling service. And customer relations....

I really don't expect that DPD will be sending a message soon saying the phone will be delivered at any time soon, and if they did I would not believe what they had to say.

So sorry to hear about people having to wait over 4 weeks for their phones! What a shambles...

I ordered the IPhone 17 Pro 256 GB on 3/10 and got a notification saying it will be delivered by 5 November. I've seen my phone is not under "track my order" anymore, has this happened to anyone else?

So guys I dont want to freak out everyone but I just update you what just happen to me. This morning when I checked my order the iphone 17 pro max silver placed on 20th September wasn't there and sim card delayed message was displayed.  I contacted Sky on WhatsApp and he said this:

up on checking I see that the order has been failed due to technical issue. As the iPhone 17 series is newly launched and also we have got bulk order so that might the issue. Regarding this we can cancel and replace the order. I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused. The mobile will be delivered in 4-6 weeks from the day the order is placed.

Please let me know if you wish to cancel and re order ".

I canceled and placed another order paid 109€ which has been canceled just now by them again.

At this point I have the impression the they just ripping off people from their money by taking the upfront payments.

@sezz
As we’re customers here we have no insight into current stock levels or any delivery timescales. The most up to date information (after credit checks are complete) on your particular order should become available at:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/track-sky-order

When your order is ready you should get an email from Sky, and then another from the courier (in the UK that’s usually DPD) which should have details of your 1 hour delivery time slot.

Any orders for an iPhone 17 are likely to be delayed further due to the usual supply and demand issues. This happens every year when a new iPhone is launched.

@GymRat1

It could be that after another order you failed the credit checks. See this link for Skys guidance ~

If that is the reason any upfront payment you’ve made should be refunded after about 14 days but recent posts suggest it’s taking a bit longer in which case you’ll need to contact Sky (Ireland) to chase it up.

Something going on alright.
I ordered 26/09 pro max blue 256gb

first update was 15/10 saying delivery 29/10

now the phone has disappeared from my orders altogether and the sim has changed to delayed.

no correspondence from them. Do they not realise how much of a shambles this process is?
