I had already pre booked iPhone 17 pro max 256gb cosmic Orange but i just wanted to know is my order for the plastic sim card as like i ordered ??

Hi @Helen268 no one here can answer that. That would indicate sky are waiting for stock of your particular model. Keep an eye on your order status for updates.

Yep. I can understand if people were promised a delivery on the 19th and are annoyed they didn't come on the 19th or they got no info because then what would be the point of pre-ordering? but calling Sky seven times and spamming them for different information or being rude to the call handlers and calling them useless is just unnecessary.
Nothing is going to change by calling them and it holds up the phone lines for people with real issues who need assistantance.

People need to calm down it's a phone!!
This has happened every year since the iPhones were released it's nothing new unless you order within literally the first 5-10mins you are normally screwed and that's direct with Apple too.
if you can't order a phone direct with Apple as it's out of stock then what makes you think sky would be any easier
You don't actually start paying for the phone until you physically have it so by it being delayed you're not actually losing out on anything

@FlyestMonkey40 yes agree completely. No point at all dropping the frustration the people that sadly can't do anymore to help. Unfortunately the range of excuses used doesn't help keep some people tempers down. I phoned once just to triple check my order had been placed as still doesn't shows under my orders. I just said . Please just be honest and if you don't have a timeframe for delivery then just say that . At least now I get to have some kind of element of surprise when it eventually gets delivered hahaha

Unless you're talking to a manager you're pretty much wasting your time with the phone. I've had a message on the app stating it will be with me by the 26th. I did call them yesterday to talk about my broadband and asked them to check on the status of the phone and the lady on the phone said by Monday 23rd so I knew that wasn't right because the 23rd is Tuesday. I've worked at one of these calls centres and it's not that they're useless it's that sky hasn't adequately trained them. Talking to retentions is like talking to a wall they'll let you leave the conversation to shop elsewhere and if you've ever worked in a company retentions department then you'll know that's not how you conduct the call, by letting the customer go. Blame sky blame the system blame the managers the people answering the phones more then likely don't know themselves and are probably being told from above what to say. Sky like all companies have amazing sales departments but customer service departments are terrible once the sales been made they ain't bothered about you they're bothered about the next sale not your complications. Capitalism at its finest we're just profit margins but rest assured we will get our phones.

New phone plus sim contract
So I placed a new contract order for iPhone 17 pro max yesterday, I payed the upfront cost of the phone, set up the direct debit logged into my new account saw the order and the contract and this morning when I checked again I only see the contract for the sim card and if I want to check my orders gives me error. Can anyone tell me whats happening? Did they canceled my phone order and they will be sendiing out only the sim card? Is this a trick to pursue people into a new contract and take mmoney from them?

As we're other customers here we can't be sure but probably didn't pass the credit check.

I just called customer service and they say they cant pull up any of my details based on the account number, email address, name, phone number and house address. Is there something wrong with the system?
