Really sad. It's just a phone you are literally messaging off one right now

@GinnyWeasley it's sad to be annoyed that a phone we're paying over £1,000 for has not arrived as promised? No it's not sad at all.

Sky were fully aware of how much stock of each phone they would receive. Instead of updating the delivery estimate to reflect that th initial stock had been depleted they continued taking orders with the delivery date of "on 19th", not "from", not "after", not "in 4 weeks".

Then there's the lack of updates, no emails, texts, notifications to say hey we're sorry, we've run out of stock but we are getting to you asap.

To top it off, you call them and get told 5 different things. I was told no phones had been sent out yet for anyone (lie), my phone will be delivered in 24-48 hours (lie), my phone will be delivered by 26th Sep (probably a lie) and since had a message to say by 4th Oct.

So, no it's not sad. People are right in being upset and annoyed at Sky.

@GinnyWeasley What's sad is being in a forum just to insult people. You obviously have no emptathy for the situation we've been put in and clearly have nothing helpful to add to the thread so go and live the full life you obviously have which is better than ours that means you can berate people with a genuine complaint.

He said to me on the phone if you cancel your order and re order you've got a good chance of getting it in the next few days because of there issue there prioritising newer orders rather than day 1 pre orders.

@Sophielu94 thats wild and is a quick way to lose customers, they said yesterday they weren't getting any stock until 26th as they're having sourcing issues with Apple. You also can't cancel or so many have been told. Looks like we're all being told different things which is even less helpful than when we were told nothing 😀

Our update. We rang following our non show yesterday for PM17 - told delivery will be from 26th September. I made a complaint as I placed my preorder over the phone and was guaranteed 19th delivery.

Was then lied too consistently from multiple advisors. Manager I got through to this morning was honest and gave the true scope of the situation, yes I'm not getting the phone on release day as promised but was handsomely compensated for the issues I'd experienced and happy with the guy I'd spoke to today.

just a shame some of them are pure ignorance regardless you pay for a service you deserve good service. Simple regardless whether people think they are paid pennies it's their bloody job

@mattandkris @What kind of compensation is heavily compensated? I've been refunded next months bill amount after 7 phone calls

If you wouldn't mind sharing the type of compensation it would be very much appreciated! I've spent 5hrs on the phone yesterday, another 50mins today, was transferred to 11 people yesterday (one of which breached GDPR, but I'll sort that once I get the phone delivered), and have yet to receive a "sorry for the hassle", never mind compensation.

@seapoppong I've been in the same boat as you. I finally got transferred to three different people today and the third was so compassionate and actually listened which is all I wanted! He went to a manager after I said I can't keep putting my life on hold and offered about £70 off my next bill. The main thing is they promised to update me Monday or Tuesday (with baited breath I wait) but I felt this person actually acknowledged the situation and did his best to understand. I felt emotional as I am AuDhd and hate interacting and confrontation with anyone! Good luck and just say that you want compensating. I almost ordered from Argos today as they had the air in stock but would have been cutting off my nose to spite my face.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

@Emmanie Thanks a lot for letting me know, I'll be sure to ask as I'm also expecting a call on Monday from them... but we'll see if that happens. As a fellow AuDHD-haver, I can relate, it's been extremely distracting waiting for something when you could be getting on with your day (never mind having to then waste even more time on calls). It's my first and last time pre-ordering with Sky. They've always been fine for ordering products in stock, but it's clear their infrastructure can't handle bigger releases like this. Hope you get everything sorted next week!

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I have Asperger's myself . I get so nervous talking on the phone so when I was connected to the last guy who was kind and apologetic it made me feel a little better . Just better communication is all I am after it's frustrating that the phone isn't here but more frustrating that they either lie to you or just don't give any communication

@Sophielu94 @seapoppong for neurotypical people this would be something stressful but for me I've been hyper focusing on it all week/weekend and just want to know what's going on. It's difficult enough communicating at normal times let alone when you have to explain things to unsympathetic people.
