Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

Been on the phone for 1 hour and 20 minutes trying to cancel an order so far....

Wanted to cancel it on Tuesday, was told I had to wait until launch day (today) to cancel it...

Called today...

First guy said the button to cancel was greyed out, said he'd put me through to a technical team to cancel it manually.

On hold for 15 minutes.

Get put through to a lady who had no idea what I was talking about or why I'd been connected to her.

On hold for another 10 minutes.

Get put through to the original guy, who said he didn't know why she didn't take the call and assumed she was new.

On hold for another 15 minutes.

Get put through to a different guy, who had no idea what I was talking about. Explained everything to him. He lies to me, said it's "already cancelled already". Said I'd had no emails and the tracker still said in progress. Then explains "the easy way to cancel is to wait for delivery". I said it had been delayed to 4th October and was ridiculous I couldn't cancel the order easily despite it not even having shipped. Wouldn't send me any proof of cancellation, no email, not text etc.

I repeated what I'd been told about calling back today to cancel, and that the other guy had said a technical team could manually cancel it. Guy says he will "speak to four different teams" and it will take 20 minutes.

Now on hold again....1 hour and 25 minutes on the phone....

Fully expecting to be hung up on soon.

EDIT: New guy answers....he's from the tv cancellations team. I'm at square one again. Genuinely having to stop myself swearing at these people. Now he's putting me through to mobiel cancellations AGAIN.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I’m not bothering to contact them anymore there’s no point. You never get through to anyone in the UK anyway.

At this stage, it’ll arrive when it arrives. I’ve noticed that 99% of people are waiting on the Pro or Pro Max, but I’m after the Air (easily the best one in the lineup, in my opinion). So where’s all the stock gone? Did they even get any? *bleep* knows. It’s been stuck on "Coming Soon” forever. I had some hope for tomorrow, but clearly that’s not happening either.

I give up can’t be bothered to keep checking. And honestly, no matter how many people call or chat with them, it won’t change anything. You’ll get it when they can be bothered to send it. This is what happens when demand completely outweighs supply..

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I ordered iPhone 17 pro max on 12th at 1pm, was told two days ago by a staff member that  everything looks good and I should have the phone on 19th.. I received a call today to say my order was cancelled because there was a glitch in the system and majority of the orders got cancelled. Spoke to a different person half an hour later to find out ONLY  60 orders got cancelled, tried to reorder over the phone, all was looking good until they sent me an email to do ID check and the link for that doesn't work!! Now wait time for order is over 4 weeks ! What an absolute joke! Anyone else having this issue ??

now I've checked my messages and I've had the same thing of October 4th.

not being funny but I queued for 15 minutes on pre order day at 1pm ordered straight away , had the day off today for delivery .  Now I don't get my phone for two weeks after launch day.  Never again sky should have ordered directly off Apple.

they'll be on eBay to buy by the morning.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

@ClareJ82 @SarahBW1  eventually got through . I was promised that the person on the phone will do everything to have it delivered between Wednesday and Friday next week.

the guy said he was aware that the first come first serve was not really followed and was very apologetic .

a little frustrating. But I didn't want to release the frustration on any of them. I can imagine the pressure they are all under as this was probably a giant case of miscommunication between different areas.

fingers crossed they come sooner but at this stage best we can do is wait .

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

@CCapelo I'm getting absolutely nowhere! I've got a guy who is refusing to put me through to a manager. Being told my delivery date is today before 5 (it's now five past) but no tracking info.

They should just tell me and everyone else the truth!!

See when I questioned if my guy said oh we strictly stick to first come first served so I asked why people who ordered the same thing days after me had gotten there's delivered when I brought minutes after pre orders went live he said he didn't know

@ClareJ82 @Yeah frustrating that they are still telling when you got no updates .. is your order showing on the my orders section? Mine isn't and guy said it's because it's waiting for it to start dispatch process

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

I'm on hold to them now trying to cancel, first time I've ever ordered a new phone on launch day, been with Sky 6 years and had countless devices for all the family, they have lost my business today for the lies I've been told, I wouldnt have minded if it arrived in a week or 2 weeks, its the fact I've waited in all day for a phone that was never going to be delivered, despite being told 100% this morning that the phone would be delivered today before 5pm, very poor customer services and thats what you get for being a so called GOLD customer 😕

17 Pro Max Ordered : Is signal good?

Ordered a 17 pro max from Sky

Just wondering what the actual network is like?

Living in a city centre, is the network reliable?

Read some reviews which worried me a bit.

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

The worst thing is now it's sold out everywhere for at least 4 weeks, so I can't even get it anywhere else, I will never buy from Sky again and I'm a so-called VIP customer

Re: Apple iPhone 17 range and iPhone Air available for pre-order on Sky Mobile

Good luck with that @JaseHoare - I'm approaching 2 hours on the phone, having spoken to six different people trying to cancel. Whatever training these foreign call centres receive is abysmal, they talk too long overexplaining things, outright lie, make false statements and backtrack on them, have no empathy, constantly transfer to different departments who are irrelevant and have no idea what I'm talking about, not to mention having to go through security every single time I'm transferred.

Guarantee if I could get put through to the Scottish call centre this would have been sorted a long time ago. Have they closed it down?
