@Opcelo - When did you order? Did you get the mail saying that it will be "delivered on the 20th"?

Dpd emails also matter, but the real thing is update on the skyapp, a day or two earlier my app started to show that order awaiting dispatch, and today it says order dispatched, it's when they scan the barcode on the parcel the system updates which confirms that they have the said device which is about to be shipped

Anyone who ordered their phone after 13th should in normal circumstances expect their device to be delivered later tha September 20th. Hours even minutes matter when pre ordering apple devices specifically pro maxes

At this stage, I would say that if your device is not showing as dispatched then it is highly unlikely you will recieve on launch day.

Don't rely on the information given to you by sky customer service they are just kind of call centre guys sitting probably in India who don't know anything about the situation in UK logistics and warehouses of sky. They just repeat the standard answer to anyone. I spoke to them yesterday that my app says order awaiting dispatch and to be delivered on 20th and the guy was just saying sir I can only say that yes your account with us has the same information and I can't tell you anything other than that. So talking to the customer service representatives is pointless.

@Opcelo it depends on with what specifications like storage capacity you ordered and even for apple color of the phone you ordered matters, and it also depends when you ordered like on 13th or after that and honestly speaking with personal experience with apple even the time matters, let's say one guy ordered at 1.01 pm on September 13th and the other guy ordered at probably 1.05p.m there is a chance that the later guy will get his device might be weeks after the first guy.

but mine says preorder still, but someone at sky told me to expect it to change later today and expect delivery details this afternoon.

Hi, I've received my confirmation email, and it states that my new phone will be delivered on 20th by courier.... however, that's tomorrow, and I've not received any further info regarding tracking.... should I be concerned that I'm not getting my shiny new phone tomorrow after all??

Sorry to randomly jump on the thread but do Sky use DPD? I can't remember as the last phone I had was the 14 pro max (awaiting on the 16 pro max this time). I'm not expecting to get my phone tomorrow as even though I ordered on the 13th I didn't until about half 4/5. Just can't remember what delivery company they use 🤦🏻♀️

In a nutshell the whole warehouse system works as follows, it's mostly automated, based on the first come first serve basis the guys at warehouses assign the device to be delivered and the information is delivered to courier I.e., dpd. And at the warehouse the barcode of the device to be sent is scanned and that's when the app like here sky app changes the status to dispatched, and when the dpd delivery driver picks it up from the sky warehouse the consignment is scanned again and that's when dpd updates its app saying that it's in transit

Yes they do use DPD who should then send you an email or text with a one hour delivery slot, you will probably be sent this on the morning of the delivery day.
