Activate sim

I ordered an iPad with a SIM card however it never stated I needed an eSIM and now it won't allow me to convert my sim to an eSIM even though I received an email saying I needed to do this conversion

You shouldn't need to convert your sim as you should be able to use the physical one, the email is a little bit misleading in this instance.
