using i phone 16 promax in a different country

Hi experts,

I am planning to buy an I phone 16 pro max from sky (UK) for my wife who lives in Bangladesh at the moment.. Will there be any problem to activate the phone or using SIM card from Bangladesh ?

You might want to set it up while you are in the UK but the only issue you have will be that Bangladesh is a rest of the world country when it comes to roaming so will cost a fortune each time your wife makes a call, sends a text or uses mobile data as these are the rates:

£2.16 per mb of Data (not Gb)

£2.16 per minute Calls to local or UK mobile and landline numbers

£1.80 per minute to receive calls

£0.50 per text message to UK numbers and mobiles

£0.58 per picture message(MMS)

...but the device won't be network locked so you should be able to insert a local SIM to avoid large roaming costs.
