I've just switched from EE to sky mobile. I appreciate the network coverage with EE is very good but I can't understand how the 5g network with sky could be so bad!
is there anything I can do to help speed it up or is this a common issue with the sky network?

Hi, I’ve recently changed from EE to Sky as well and my mobile is pretty much unusable when out and about at the service is so poor.

I've picked up some 4g in some areas now but I'm a bit surprised how bad it can be in quite a lot of areas.
Did you contact sky about the issue? It seems like it's a common thing with sky/O2 as they use the same masts.

Yes I've contacted Sky multiple times and they say they're aware of the issue with the masts. However, I'm pushing back to see if I can cancel my sim contract and keep my handset. This way I can keep the deal I got on the handset but go elsewhere for better coverage!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you have had the sim longer than 12 months @bradley18 you can leave penalty free. If less than 12 months there would be early termination charges. Sky (as with all networks) can't guarantee a mobile signal in all areas and as long as they are providing a mobile signal in most areas they meet the terms of their contract.
