I got a free sim for being a VIP member a year ago and bought a new phone and put the free sim in the old phone that I got for back up, but now from next month I am being charged £1 for the free sim though I was told it was free for life, anyone else had this charge.

I rang them last night and they say it is for the 10mb of data, you would have thought for a £1 they should give you more than 10mb

Make sure you complain and take it higher. Free for life is just that, not for less than two years.

I wanted to ask your opinion if I have enough evidence to win the case with cisas?
What do you think? If you want to see the emails and communication please PM me.

Hi b4u2,
I'm in the same boat. Would you so kind to show me the email that confirms free for life sim?

I had the same deal I was told throughout it was for one year. still have it after the year is up. use it in a 5G hub as a backup and just roll in data if needed.

I have the same problem being charged £1 for a SIM card that is meant to be Free for Life (as long as I kept a Sky TV package, which I have). Sky only keep recordings of phone calls for 1 year, so I don't have a recording of the conversation. However, I was recently told by a Sky sales rep that initially they termed this deal as Free for Life, so many users will be effected. I've raised a case with OFCOM today. Has anyopne had success using the Financial Ombuds Service or Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution CIFAS) ?
