Watching a BBC programme (not live) through Sky go

There are numerous on demand (not live) BBC programmes on Sky go - Would you need a tv licence to watch them? The tv licensing website states that you need a licence to watch anything on BBC iplayer but doesn't mention watching them through other platforms. I wondered if you watched one that it would somehow access BBC  iplayer 'behind the scenes' thereby meaning you would need a tv licence

You can't watch on demand from the BBC via the Sky Go app unless you have a Sky Q box with a multiscreen subscription so that it is streamed from your Sky Q box as the BBC will not let Sky add their content directly to the app. Sorry that doesn't answer your question but I thought I would point it out incase you were unaware.

Edit, this suggests you do:

You must be covered by a TV Licence to download or watch on BBC iPlayer* – live, catch up or on demand. This applies to any device and provider you use.
