I have previously used Sky Go app on my Macbook for long time without issue.
Today I open the app Sky Go again and it does not work anymore. I am getting this error message all the times:
Something is wrong. The app will now quit (1a).
I've deleted and reinstalled the app agin, but nothing works.
Any fixes?

This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

I followed the intructions from here,
Uninstall the app
Launch the Finder, go to the Downloads folder and delete ‘SkyGoInstaller.’
In Finder, go to the Applications folder and delete Sky Go app
Remove Sky Go files
In the Finder select Go to folder ... from the Go menu (or press c).
A dialog box should appear. Now copy and paste the following text into the box and press the return key: ~/Library/Application Support/
Select the Sky Go folder and delete it
Empty Recycling Bin
Reboot the Mac
after rebooting the mac i reinstalled the sky go app. and here is where i cracked it,
i switched off my wifi before opening the app, then when it came up with the no internet error i put my wifi on.
this brought me to the log in page, put in your log in information and that should work.
hopefully it works for you.
if this solution proves to be successful, i would appreciate sky giving us something as a thank you, like complimentary sky sports acess for this season.

Unfortunately, your suggestion didn't work for me. When I pasted the text in the dialogue box it said 'The folder can't be found' and I couldn't move forward. Thank you so much for your advice, just a shame it couldn't resolved.

I get this error ever since I change my router and which has a much more extensive firewall cababilities including Ad blocking.
I get this error on my Win10 PC when the program I am watching goes to an Ad break.
So, the fix is to find the URL and allow it to pass the Ad blocker.
Haven't found it yet.

Had problems with SkyGo on my PC on and off for months now but actually had it working for a few weeks until yesterday then it downloaded an update and guess what....no longer working AND just shuts down..I raised a complaint months ago but just keep getting text messages or phone calls saying 'the apps team is still looking into this'...yeah right for the money we're all paying its appalling
