The Sky Go app' has been next to useless for weeks; are there any plans to reimburse customers for the constant error (code 30) that makes watching 'live' content near on impossible?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou can try asking Sky but I very much doubt you will get a refund, have you tried pausing it for 30 seconds to see if you can then get it to play without the error ?

Unfortunately the patch suggested is a bit of a red herring. It's still evident on any age or pay-walled content when tested a couple of times.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I hope the only way I can watch live, paid for, content is to not have it live

Same problem here, I even unloaded sky go then reinstalled a month later, but the same issue remains, and it is only on movies. So if sky doesn't sort it I will simply have to cancel movies, and use my Disney and Netflix instead

Since November I have been getting Error 30 whenever I try to watch a movie on sky go. I deleted the app, re-installed the app and still after nearly two months we still can't watch movies on sky go, (which is how I watch most of sky as my husband hogs the main tv.)
so now I am questioning if I should cancel movies. I have been watching Netflix over Christmas so I don't really miss sky movies. I am just miffed about paying for something I cannot access on my choice of device.

Come on Sky! Was told to uninstall and reinstall app. Didn't work. Have done it several times now. Still not working.
can you get your sky team to ring me again please.

Hi all,
Same here for me. Error 30 closes the stream everytime I'm in a movie channel. No workarounds have worked

I've been getting this since I've added Sky cinema over three months ago. My issue is with my 2 year old iphone 13 pro max. However, I have an eight year Ipad pro, which "NEVER" crashes, while watching cinema and only cinema channels. Also, few months after adding Sky Cinema, I swapped from sky broadband (40mbs) to cummunity fiber 1Gbps), dispiten the huge increase to my broadband speed it has made no difference to fixing these crashes, just as bad. Finally, crashes happen after watching for only few minutes but not all channels and not always the same amount of minutes. I had reported this to Sky when it happened but they never got back to me. Frustrating watching movies which need pin code to activate. (PS done all the usual checks, latest software, deleted app and reloaded)
