Sky Sports error when logging in with virgin account

I have sky sports as part of my virgin package. When redirected to sky sports from virgin tv go I get an 'unknown error has occurred' error after I provide my virgin login details. Similar issue yesterday where it wasn't stating an error but just sending me on a loop to keep logging in.

Likely related to the widely reported Microsoft tech issues which is affecting companies globally including Sky.
