Sky Go has stopped working on my Win11 Pro build 23H2 desktop pc. I think I last used it a few weeks ago as I tend to watch on my Samsung tablet more often.
When I try and run the app it opens with a white screen, hangs for a few seconds then closes down. I don't get any error messages.
I have read this forum and tried many solutions including multiple reinstalls, changing the app properties, restoring previous versions, clean and thorough uninstall including the registry. I've deleted VLC player, cleared the Temp folder in AppData\Local. I've followed one suggestion of creating a new user and installing Sky Go in there with exactly the same outcome.
The Sky Go app is version 24.1.3.0 pubhlished 20/05/2024.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to get this working again please?

I tried moving to the beta version 24.1.3.0 from settings, but the new version still did not work. Today that version has been updated to 24.2.2.0, but I don't know yet if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the post. Where did you find a beta version? Also the update to 24.2.2.0 - I've tried from the Sky Go download link and it's still 24.1.3.0?
As I've mentioned in a second post, the only time I've managed to get this working is by creating a new Windows virtual machine with nothing else in it apart from Sky Go.
And I've never had any error messages or Sky Go stuck in "updating" - I just get an app window opening, waits a few seconds, then shuts down again.

You can install the beta version by going to settings ->updates from the start screen.. Quite easy to do - and undo if you're not happy with the version.
The problem I see is a black screen on start-up and then it shuts down with the error shown in the log,

I assume you mean Settings, Update in the Sky app? Sadly the app doesn't launch beyond a window opening with Sky Go in the title bar before it shuts down again.
So I never get a chance to do anything further with it.

Yes that's also the problem I see. But I've found thast if I keep trying it usually starts eventually.

I have same problem that SkyGo does not Launch on my PC. Uninstalled & Reinstalled ..goes through Process of Updating. Never get to point of being able to Login & provide Password .. eventualy crashes with error message 001

Try Revo uninstaller free:

The uninstaller will run the program’s own uninstaller then allow the user to run a ‘scan for leftovers’, if the uninstall fails you can still scan for leftovers which will then be akin to a forced uninstall & will remove the program.
For Apps these are shown under their own tab at the top - Windows Apps.

I ran the uninstaller as proposed & also searched for Leftovers & it seem to find which I then deleted. I then rebooted & installed Skygo again. Unfortunately same issue that Skygo app installed ..then said " updateing software " then continued with the Blue screen until it ends with the Error message window 001 !
Any other things to try ??

There is one thing you could try. Disconnect your PC from the internet and start Skygo. It might be that the error occurs connecting to your Sky box. If it comes up, it will be in offline mode. You can then re-enable the internet which should cause it to fully initialize. If you're lucky and that works, you can then go to updates and install the beta 24.2.2.
I've been running this version on PC and laptop today, frequently starting and stopping it, and can no longer recreate the failure. Looking good so far.

Nice idea but sadly still no joy, the app still refuses to launch. Guess I'll wait for the beta to go live and see what happens then.

Well I've been trying it all weekend, but just now it failed with the same problem. So it's still not fixed even in this beta.. I tried to start it again and all was well, so it's an intermittent problem for me. Same fault offset as with previous version..
